Canyon Nature trail – American Fork Canyon Trails
American Fork Canyon trail is a pavement path adapted for walkers of all experience levels. This Canyon Nature trail picturesque route crossing two beautiful bridges carries exceptional views of the American Fork Canyon along the way. The trail is in Timothy Panogois Cave National Monument and displays excellent interpretive signage highlighting local flora and fauna. The Canyon Nature trail is appropriate for strollers and wheelchairs with assistance and strollers with assistance.
The canyon nature trail offers vistas on the American Fork River and in the surrounding mountains. Small animals and bird are common spots along the trail. The trail returns to Swinging Bridge picnic area and has a distance of about 0.25 miles. It’s a perfect spot for some cool scenery to stop at before heading back. The total distance is roughly around 0.5 mile round-trip.
The Canyon Nature Trail Trailhead is located at American Fork Canyon off road trails west of Timpanogos Cave Tourist Center. There’s not much parking to the trailhead. Additional parking is available at Timpogos Cave visitor’s centre 100 rows over the canyon. Alternately the hike may also start at the Swinging Bridge picnic area as its starting place on hiking from the top up to the top.
Timpanogos Cave National Monument –
The Timpanogos Cave National Monument consists of a network of three caves that were linked by the Civilian Conservation Commune 80 years ago. The famous attraction ticket sells regularly. It is best to buy online and order tickets. Once inside the cave the tour last of 50 minutes and averages an hour. If the guide is present in the visitor center he assigns the tour schedule which is 1.5 hours after receipt of the ticket’s printout. The guides claimed these spiels were annoying so we had no choice but to ask questions. The cave is being protected by the National Park Service.
Parking at American Fork Canyon
A specially billed charge is required at any American Fork Canyon parking lot. Get passes at the charging station by the mouth of the canyon or at one of a number of Self-Surveyed Paystations throughout the Canyon. Three-day passes are available for $6 with weekly passes and annual passes too. The America the Beautiful interagency park pass is now available for entry in Canyon.
How much does it cost to get into American Fork Canyon ATV Trails ?
American Fork Canyon is evergreen trail in Utah. Due to its heavy popularity various recreational and cultural resources are impacted. It is estimated that in one year around a million visitors visit American Fork Canyon. Hence to maintain the canyon there is an entrance fee which is collected at the entrance of the park. This fee is subject to only visitors who wants to visit the place and do camping or indulge in other adventurous activities. Any visitors passing by State Road 92 which connects the canyon are not subject to this entrance fees , if they are not going to visit and just pass through.
The cost for the American Fork Canyon for 1 to 3 days is 6 USD.
The cost for the American Fork Canyon for 7 days is 12 USD.
Annual Pass for visiting American Fork Canyon is 45 USD.

American Fork Canyon offers a system of different rides with over 30 miles of ATV trails and american fork canyon jeep trails. It’s a great place to get out and explore and has some great destinations such as Mineral Basin, Silver Lake, Old Mines and Cabins, and some great views. Most of the trails are moderate, but you can find difficult trails that will challenge good riders. Once you arrive at Tibble Fork (click here for Google Map directions to Tibble Fork) you will head east on the dirt road just outside of the parking lot.
