Trail Description

The Hobble Creek Canyon Trail is a well-defined dirt road in the Uinta National Forest, offering a scenic ride through high country surrounded by pine and aspen trees. Starting where the pavement ends on Hobble Creek Canyon Rd, the trail winds through the canyon with occasional steep and rocky sections that add a bit of challenge.

Riders can enjoy sweeping views of the Wasatch Range and the serene beauty of the forest, especially vibrant with wildflowers in late spring and golden aspens in early fall. This trail is perfect for a day trip or a weekend camping adventure.

  • Breakfast Joint: Several places available in Springville, such as Cracker Barrel or Joe Coffee & Eatery
  • Base Camp: Jolly’s Ranch. Overnight camping with hookups. Less than a mile up the right fork past the golf course.
  • Luxury Lodge: None in the immediate area; consider staying at the Best Western Mountain View Inn in Springville for a comfortable option

Notes: Be prepared for sudden weather changes, as the canyon can get chilly even in summer. The trail is popular with equestrians and hikers, so ride with caution and respect other users. Cell service may be spotty, so download maps in advance.
