Trail Description

ATVTrailReviews would like to thank Sandtown Farms Ranch for submitting this trail! Hopefully we'll have a chance to get down and visit them sometime soon!

Sceenery is beyond awesome and there are trails for every experiance level. While most should be good for any full-size 2 wheel drive ATV there are trails where a 4x4 or a winch may be needed, though most obsticles have a "bypass" trail. Area is covered in creeks, streams, caves, abandoned mines - both underground and strip mines, swimming holes, thick foliage in places. Hills, Rocks, Sand, you name it. A 60 to 100 mile ride can see a wide ranging variety of scenery and trail types and trailside camping is allowed.

You can View my own ride photos at: http://SouthernGypsy.smugmug.com

Sandtown Farms Ranch is a privatly owned property but host several large organized trail rides every year and by contacting them in advance you can come ride just about anytime. Riding is free, they only ask that if you enjoy your ride that you tip your guide whatever you feel it was worth at the end of the day on the longer rides where guides are suggested such as to the caves and mines.

You can contact them at: SandtownFarms@Hughes.net or by calling 870-834-8060

Note: Take a good flashlight if you want to explore the caves and large abandoned mines so large a truck can drive through them and be sure to bring a camera. Never enter the mines without a guide, there are almost 60 miles of underground roads.
