Top 5 Fall Utah ATV Trails

Well it's time for another one of our top Utah ATV trails lists. As we quickly turn to fall and as our time begins to be eaten up with football, hunting, school, shorter days, etc, etc, etc, we'd like to remind all the ATV riders to at least get a few good trails in this fall. It truly is the best time of year for Utah ATV riding.

As we decided to put together our top 5 FALL Utah ATV rides, you can imagine there was some good debate. The fact of the matter is there are literally thousands of miles of trails are magnificent during the fall as the leaves begin to turn and the temperatures start to cool off. There are plenty of trails that are probably equal to our list if you time it right with the leaves and weather.

Before we begin the list, a couple of things to consider during fall rides:

1- It's hunting season in many areas---Make sure to pay attention to when and where the big hunts will be. We recommend wearing hunter orange if you're riding during a hunt. Riders should also be respectful of the hunters and considerate of where they ride.

2- Weather can change FAST!---Just the other day on a ride up Mineral Fork (the Big Cottonwood Canyon ATV trail), we were amazed at how quickly the clouds came over the mountain and the rain started pouring down. Take extra layers in the fall and be prepared for all types of weather.

It should be noted that as we prepared the list, we purposely excluded the MOAB ATV trails. Fall is one of the best times to ride the Moab area, however we based this list more on areas that riders can get into beautiful canyons with changing leaves. These are also the areas that are mostly non-accessible during the winter.

Anyway, here is our top five FALL ATV trails:

  • American Fork Canyon
  • Arapeen Trail System
  • (Make sure to listen for the bugling elk).

  • Mineral Fork
  • (Also known as the "Big Cottonwood Canyon ATV trail").

  • Paiute Trail System
  • Logan Canyon
  • Now get out there and enjoy at least one of these incredible ATV trails during this Fall...remember, winter's almost here and many of these trails will be non-accessible.

Please review our Terms and Conditions before riding these trails and always remember to Tread Lightly.
