Metal Masher uses the same parking lot as Gold Bar Rim and Gemini Bridges. Follow the gravel road 4.7 miles from the parking lot to a T intersection. If you turn left here it will take you to Gold Bar Rim which turns into Golden Spike, which will eventually take you to the Poison Spider parking lot. If you turn right you will have the option of going to Gemini Bridges or Metal Masher.

The picture on this trail description is Rock Chucker. Notice the rope on the machine - you will need one. There are many big rock ledges and tight areas that require others help and advanced skill. In addition to Rock Chucker Hill, there are others tough obstacles such as Widow Maker and Mirror Gulch. Metal Masher offers some great views along the trail.

This trail is not marked as well as we would like in some areas. We recommend that you take good maps or ride with someone who knows the trail. There are occasionally colored ribbon tied to shrubs along the trail that help navigate.
