Trail Description

This trail is a great ride on a hot day especially if you want to get wet. Unless you leave a vehicle on the opposite end than the one you begin, this trail is an out and back ride. The best obstacles on this trail are on east end so we advise that you start on this end and ride until you are ready to turn around. Approximately 2 miles in you will encounter your first real obstacle, down into the river. Within the next mile you will need to make a right off of the main trail onto the lower section. You will cross a canyon on a metal bridge (shown in trail picture) (this used to be a rickety wooden bridge but was replaced with a sturdy metal bridge. If you find yourself above the canyon and can see the green metal bridge way down below, you missed the turn off. You can continue along the road you are on but it is considerably more difficult than the lower trail.

After you you cross the bridge, the trail crosses in and out of the river for a long time, eventually ending up south of Moab near where Moab Rim and Pritchett Canyon.

Use caution as you cross the river as the depth of the water varies from crossing to crossing with some of them being unusually deep.

As this is typically an out and back ride, turn around when you have had enough.

Please review our Terms and Conditions before riding this trail and always remember to Tread Lightly.
