From the town of Monticello take North Creek road headed West towards Blue Mountain. There are several good places to explore on your ATV as you ride up North Creek road and even the graded road that heads up Blue Mountain is a fun ATV ride for the family. Towards the top of North Creek road and just after you pass the Canyonlands lookout, the road splits to the left and goes to Spring Lake. Continue on North Creek road until you reach Spring Lake. You can park anywhere in this area to begin your ride. The trail is along mostly jeep width roads and has several branches to explore. It offers some incredible views of the Canyonlands area and the La Salle Mountains. This is a great place to take the family camping for the weekend and exploring on the ATV's. There is plenty of wildlife in the area including deer, elk and Turkey. There are also fish in the Spring Creek.
